I have never been interested in just “doing deals.” What matters to me is building something that actually works—for my clients, my team, and the community I am part of. Real estate just happens to be the vehicle I use to do that.
Over the years, I have built the Mike Wood Team around one core idea: if you take care of people at a high level, the results follow. That means being available, being honest, and having the systems in place to actually deliver on what you say you are going to do. On average, my team sells a home every few days, not because we chase volume, but because we focus on doing things the right way consistently.
Built to Perform, Not Just Impress
I have been in real estate for over two decades, and during that time, I have learned that success is not about hype. It is about execution. It is knowing the market, having strong relationships locally, and being able to negotiate and close when it matters most.
I lean heavily on systems, technology, and communication to keep everything running smoothly, but at the end of the day, none of that matters if the client experience is not there. My focus is on making sure every person we work with feels taken care of and confident in the decisions they are making.
More Than Just Real Estate
I also see this business as a way to give back. A portion of what we do goes toward supporting organizations like Children’s Miracle Network and the American Cancer Society, because success should extend beyond just the transaction.
I enjoy helping people build wealth, improve their quality of life, and take advantage of the opportunities that exist here in Northern Nevada. That is something I talk about often, whether it is with clients, my team, or through the content I put out.
The Bigger Picture
Reno is a place I believe in. It is growing, evolving, and attracting attention for all the right reasons. Helping people find their place here, or position themselves to benefit from that growth, is something I take seriously.
My Approach
I keep things simple. Do what you say you are going to do. Take care of people. Stay consistent.
“At the end of the day, this is not just about buying or selling homes. It is about helping people build a life they are proud of and creating something that lasts long after the transaction is done.”
